Public Mural Project – Galán Primary School, Pamplona, Colombia
This mural was created for the public Galán Primary School in Pamplona, Colombia, located 2,460 meters high in the Andes Mountains. The project was part of the initiative “100 in a Day,” through which I collaborated with children to paint a mural for the school.
Through this artwork, I introduced students to the condition of cleft lip, using art as a way to explain difference, identity, and empathy. The mural became an opportunity to open a conversation with the children about diversity and to show that what makes us different can also be a source of strength and beauty.
